A New Kind of Bucket List

Just a short note to acknowledge another moment in what is becoming a trend. Stupid stuff that I hope is just that, not a medical situation.

Today, while working out at the gym, I fell off a treadmill. I don’t really know how. Maybe I just lost focus. Maybe I passed out on my feet? Thankfully I was only walking on a steep gradient setting. I apparently went down on my back as opposed to doing a face-plant.

There was speculation that I blacked out prior to my crash last May. I know it wasn’t low blood sugar. At least I’m pretty sure. I had plenty of the right nutrition on board today as well as during that race.

  1. When was the last time you had a checkup and bloodwork done? It could be a vitamin deficiency which you can address with vitamins. I had a vitamin D deficiency for years that my doctor didn’t address with me in a serious way, and I believe it really cut into my cognition and quality of life. Since taking D3 on a regular basis, I am now feeling much more alert and with it. If you’re falling as a result of these things, you should really check it out. I know someone who was blacking out intermittently, and it was a heart thing that was addressed fairly quickly. No more blackouts. And better quality of life.

Funny you should ask that. I just had a regular physical last week. I’d also been checked for various things in December. The blood work there showed everything was normal and my VitD level was in the mid-50’s (I take a D3/K2 supplement). Thyroid (T4) was fine too.
Yes, the falling has me quite rattled so I’m on the lookout for it now.
