Note to self: It is getting to be that magical time of the year (or at least that’s what I tell myself when it starts to get dark before dinner time) when the leaves change, and the grass is all wet and dewy in the morning, and Keegan the Wonder Dog is more chipper on long walks, and uh, where was I? Oh, right. It gets cool enough in the house to wander around in those fluffy wool socks I like to wear.
Well, I’m going to have to be a lot more careful now, especially going down our carpeted stairs. Doh! At least not be carrying stuff with both hands, you knucklehead!
ETA: On second thought, the title needed a little tweak.
I have the (somewhat lucky but still) bad habit of falling UP the stairs in socks. so I hear you brother. Keep it up, your posts are enjoyable and spot on.

I’ve switched to merrel chill shoes – good grip , no slip, and warm wool inside! Sprained ankles made me quit the nice warm, fuzzy, sock thing! Wishing you all of the best things to come of beginning a blog!

Okay, now I’m intrigued. Thanks for the tip but I don’t see them specifically on the Merrell site. I looked up Chill Shoes +/- Merrell on a general web search and I can only find kids or women’s shoes. Regardless, your point is well taken. I need something to prevent slipping on carpet or harder surfaced floors but still warm and cushy. Oh no, this will make my wife chuckle. She just l-o-o-o-ves to try to get me to a clothing store… It’s like me trying to get her to go to a hardware store or worse, Home Depot or Lowe’s. She may wonder who I am and where I hid her husband’s body when I tell her I’d like to go shoe shopping. The only possible way this could be good is if these Merrells (or similar shoes) can be found at REI or some place like it. 😉
